JINSA Board Visits Pentagon

JINSA held its Spring 2010 Board of Directors meeting, May 23-24, in Washington, DC. The centerpiece of the two-day event was a full-day visit to the Pentagon. The first half of the day was spent with the United States Marine Corps followed by an afternoon with the United States Army.

Dr. Bruce Hoffman Addressed the JINSA Policy Forum on March 2, 2010. He discussed the changing nature of the terror threat with particular emphasis on Al Qaeda and its offshoots. The JINSA Policy Forum features policy experts to provide information about the importance of an effective U.S. defense capability and a robust national security policy in safeguarding vital American interests.

In 1996 Ricochet became the only band in country music to chart a recording of our national anthem. As a way to honor our nation and those who keep us free the band has continued to perform the national anthem during each of their live performances and at events throughout the world since that date. Likewise, each year since 1982 The Jewish Institute For National Security Affairs has honored the military's five service chiefs and the Commander of the Special Operations Command with the Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award.

The Air Force chief of staff and two Airmen were among the honorees at the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs awards dinner here Nov. 2. The event honored the 2009 JINSA Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson Distinguished Service Award and Grateful Nation Award winners. Created to recognize leaders whose careers have been dedicated to building strong military capability for the U.S. and its allies, this year's Jackson Award was presented to the U.S. military service chiefs and the commander of U.S. Special Operations Command.

JINSA honored the five service chiefs and the commander of the Special Operations Command with its Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award at a gala dinner held Nov. 2 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington DC. The same evening, six young servicemen were presented with JINSA's Grateful Nation Award for outstanding conduct in the war against terrorists.
