On November 7, 2011 in Washington, DC, Admiral James G. Stavridis was presented with JINSA's Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award. Admiral Stavridis is the NATO Supreme Allied Commander and Commander of U.S. European Command.
The following is the full text of Admiral James G. Stavridis' Speech at JINSA's Annual Awards Dinner. Admiral Stavridis was honored with JINSA's Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award.
On Monday, November 7, JINSA held its 2011 Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award & Grateful Nation Awards Dinner. For the 29th consecutive year, JINSA honored a leader whose career has been distinguished by the principle that is the foundation of JINSA's work; the belief that the United States requires a strong military capability for both its own security and for that of trustworthy friends and allies.
If you were unable to attend JINSA's 2010 Annual Awards Dinner Gala, you can still view the November 15, 2010, presentation of the Grateful Nation Award to six young heroes who distinguished themselves in the fight against terrorism. For security purposes, the U.S. Special Operations Command recipient, a U.S. Navy SEAL, has been removed from the video.

Jackson Distinguished Service Award was presented to Senator Jon Kyl.
Before a crowd of more than 700, JINSA's 28th annual Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award was conferred upon Senator Jon Kyl on November 15, 2010. Also that evening, JINSA's Grateful Nation Award was presented to six young servicemen for heroic achievements in Afghanistan and Iraq.
