"I plan to take what I have learned and experienced in Israel with me during my career as an officer. I have learned not to assume that what you see on TV or what you read in a newspaper is the whole truth. The media hides so much. The only way to fully understand any situation is by being there and talking to the people yourself. I have learned much from the IDF and about how the Israeli military works. If there were ever a need for someone to work alongside an Israeli during my time as an officer, I believe I would be prepared to take on the privilege. I have that base understanding of their military and how each component works within their military. I also have an idea of what their military has gone through and at what capacity it can fight. Most importantly, I have seen the patriotism and love of Israel from each and every Israeli. I can understand what drives the inside of each Israeli soldier."
