The fact that we read less now about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan makes it all the more important that we not forget the soldiers who have come back needing our help. In our book, every day is Veterans Day so as you prepare for Passover or for Easter please celebrate it by doing something to ensure that a very special group of veterans continues an important dining tradition. The Syrian uprising gains strength it could possibly short-circuit the Shiite crescent coveted by Iran, reduce outside arms and money for Hezbollah and make it harder for Hezbollah to threaten Israel and Lebanon, and remove a threat to Iraq.

There is something to be said for using the United Nations to give legitimacy to international military action, but for the moment what it is escapes us.
