Young Leadership Council Briefing at Israeli Embassy

JINSA’s Young Leadership Council (YLC) hosted a special evening event at the Embassy of Israel on October 17, 2013. A cocktail reception was followed by a compelling discussion with Major General Yaakov Ayish, Defense and Armed Forces Attache to the U.S. and Canada. The briefing to a group of 45 young professionals, gave a firsthand perspective of Israel’s approach and conditions to ensure a secure Middle East.

At the event MG Ayish detailed Israel’s red lines and involvement regarding Syria, Iran and Israel’s conditions regarding their nuclear program

MG Ayish’s presentation was received enthusiastically by the YLC guests and was followed by several engaging questions.

The YLC is a non-partisan, non-sectarian council whose principal mission is to build the next generation of JINSA lay leadership that can and will effectively support the organization’s mandate. The YLC hosts happy hour briefings for young professionals every other month on topics important to U.S. national security. Past events have included Leif Babin, a former lieutenant commander in the Navy SEALs, and Rear Admiral Terry McKnight, USN (ret.), who commanded the U.S. anti-piracy mission off the Horn of Africa.
